Nursing Service

About the Program

Nursing care processes are implemented by or under the direction of a registered nurse.

Nursing care is provided to patients based on the patient’s specific needs; including the severity of the patient’s disease, condition, impairment or disability with respect for the patient’s rights and confidentiality. 

Services Offered

The scope of service offered by Nursing includes the following —

  • assessment of the patient’s health care needs
  • planning with both the patient and significant other to meet those needs
  • implementation of a plan of nursing care
  • ongoing evaluation of the results of nursing intervention

Levels of care provided include —

  • individualized, planned and appropriate care that supports patient and family care, treatment, rehabilitation goals and other needs
  • monitoring of response to outcomes of care, treatment, and rehabilitation
  • physical, psychological, and social status assessment
  • integration with treatments provided by other medical center services
  • your ability to participate and provide input into the care you receive
