Partners and Education

The West Palm Beach VA Medical Center (WPBVAMC) has forged partnerships with Veterans and their families, academic institutions, Veteran Service Organization (VSO) members, Congressional offices and community healthcare organziations for the betterment of all Veterans served.

Associated Health Professionas Academic Affiliates

The WPBVAMC offers residency training in all major medical, dental and surgical specialties and sub-specialties. Associated Health training is offered in audiology, blind rehab, chaplain, dietetics, imaging, nursing, occupational therapy, pharmacy, psychology, recreation therapy, social work and speech language pathology.

Management Advisory Council

The WPBVAMC maintains strong collaborations with Congressional and Veteran Service Organization (VSO) partners. Congressional and VSO partners are members of the Management Advisory Council (MAC) which meets quarterly. MAC members receive regular updates on matters impacting Veterans' health care.

Patient and Family Advisory Council

This council meets quarterly and is comprised of Veterans and family members.

Suicide Prevention Task Force

The WPBVAMC's Suicide Prevention Task Force has grown to include more than 50 Community Partners. The team members, motivated by their Mission of Saving Lives through Partnership and Action, has established relationships with six of the major area hospitals and 10 local colleges and universities to improve continuity of care and promote suicide prevention.
